Gerilya is an artist collective founded in 2008 by Jano, Kube, and me. We all hail from the College of Fine Arts at the University of the Philippines – Diliman, the premier fine arts program in the country. Our work is inspired by Philippine culture and history, exploring socio-political issues and national identity.

 

We seek to make our art as relevant as possible and draw influence from Philippine popular and mass culture.

 

Our group is the first street art collective in the Philippines to be invited and become part of Google Arts & Culture.

 

For more than a decade we have been teaching, sharing and improving communities through our art. We have had talks, features and art exhibitions local and abroad.

 

The work of Gerilya is now part of the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ Encyclopedia of Philippine Art.
